We are frequently totally ignorant of how our activities (or inactions) are influencing our lives. We may complain that things aren't working out for us, that we're unlucky, or that we don't have what we need to be successful. 

What we fail to understand is that we are creating our own situation through subconscious self-destruction. To control self-destruction we must first examine our feelings and fears and use conscious awareness to understand how they affect our activities. Once we determine the cause of destructive behavior, we can take steps to prevent it from happening again in the future.

When does our breakup actually happen? Subconsciously, you may fear a certain outcome, even if you say you want it. For example, weight loss. Overweight individuals have battled for quite a long time, attempted eating many eating regimens, and still can't lose the weight (or keep it off). 

They kill themselves, push themselves hard, and try to lose weight. But what is happening beneath the surface? Do they really want to lose those extra pounds? They will say so, but what if their thick layers give a sense of security and safety in an uncertain world? What if they felt the need to cover up and hide? There will be a weariness and consistent sleepiness after weight reduction. 

So they can sabotage their feeding efforts so as not to become too weak and naked. Even if they say they want to lose weight (and even if they do), they can sneak in a diet, skip exercise, and then promise that tomorrow will be tough. . will try

Others may be intimidated by simple things like starting a new job. People who commit suicide are afraid of what others will think of them if they achieve their goals. They don't believe they deserve the consequences, so they act in a way that confirms their failure.

These destructive attempts are made unintentionally, so even the destroyers are fooled to know what they want. If they have any uncertainty, any doubt, any fear, they will find ways to make sure that doesn't happen.

Maybe that's what you're describing? Have you broken yourself in the past? Regardless of how diligently you attempt, you won't ever arrive at your objective.

Fortunately, we can overcome self-destruction. The most important step in stopping self-destructive behavior is to acknowledge that it is happening. 

If you're struggling with a specific goal and things aren't working out for you, look at the pitfalls and evaluate the situation. If you make the right decisions, can any obstacles be avoided? Are there any obstacles to this particular goal? If so then you are hurting yourself.

One of the best ways to communicate with your subconscious mind is to spend time in quiet meditation. Ask yourself what you are afraid of. What is the foundation for you? What is uncertainty? What worries you about this goal? Why would you try to hold yourself back? Using a journal to write down these questions and answers can also help because writing can help you connect with the deepest part of you. It may take time and practice, but exploring these possibilities can dramatically help you break out of self-destruction.

When you finally realize that you have control over your success, you will be free of all limits! By developing clarity and insight into the results we want, and creating awareness of potential disasters, we can avoid self-destruction and focus our energies on working toward the new goals we achieved.
